Remo Stars thrashed 3SC of Ibadan 4-0 to win their first ever Ogunjobi Gold Cup at Reno Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Saturday.
This is the third attempt of the Olutoye Warlords to lift the foremost preseason competition in Nigeria.
Andy Okpe scored the first goal in the 42nd minute after he capitalized on defensive error.
Former Shooting stars player Ojukwu doubled the lead for Remo Stars in the 50th minute.
Okpe headed home his second goal of the game in the 57th minute off Tolulope Ojo’s cross to give his club 3-0 lead.
He completed the thrashing with his third another header in the 79th minute.
Victorious Remo Stars then took home the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500, 000) while 3SC got Three hundred thousand Naira (N300, 000) as runners-up.
